I’m Luciana Wright. Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I’m anything but. I have a long history of dating the wrong men. You know the ones I’m talking about. The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true. The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships. I’m talking about the jerks. The guys who taste so good, but are so very bad. After going through the most ridiculous breakup in the history of breakups, I thought I’d learned my lesson. I officially put myself into jerk rehab and committed to changing my ways. But, let’s be real here, love is never that easy. Especially when an arrogant, charming, he-devil of a sexy alpha man gets involved. Aussie accent. Tanned skin. Muscular, surfer bod. Gorgeous brown eyes. And the kind of sexy smile that brings women to their knees. Oh, did I mention that he’s also my best friend’s brother? Yeah. This story, my story, it’s a real doozy you guys. The day I stopped falling for jerks, I met Oliver Arsen—the biggest jerk of all.

"Wow!
This was such a refreshing way to tell a love story.
Ollie, a past surfing god who has had his share of one night flings, and is sponsoring the surfing circuit.
Lucky, A woman who had been in so many crash and burn relationships it seems like she is unlucky in love. She is now swearing of jerks and has put herself in jerk rehab.
When another relationship crashes and burns, her friend pitches an idea to their boss that she should follow the surfing circuit and write articles for the web magazine she writes for.
Ollie, just happens to be her best friend's brother and is tasked at taking care of her.
As time goes by, she discovers that Ollie, maybe is not the jerk she thought he was and who she had sworn to swear off.
He helps her to overcome her fear of water and swimming.
When she gets sick, he stays with her for 20+ hours to make sure all is good.
He takes her to a fashion event of the season.
They start to fall for each other, but as luck would have it, the gods of love throw a big bag of baggage at both of them.
Max Monroe, have put a spin on this story that as always, causes you to get so wrapped up in the characters lives, that you may find yourself in trouble because you'll put your own life on hold to find out what is going on in their perfect little brains.
Love love love this duel writing team!
I am diving into the continuation of their story with enthusiasm and excitement to see how Ollie sees things through his eyes."

- 4.5 stars!!
I really enjoyed this one! If you know me at all you know that I LOVE enemies to lovers and while Ollie and Lucky didn't start out as enemies per se, bad impressions were definitely made!
Lucky is completely unlucky when it comes to love. She's a jerk magnet and she's had enough! When she finds out her last relationship wasn't what it seemed she's depressed and ready to swear off love. That's when a dream assignment of sorts falls into her lap, courtesy of her best friend, Allie. Lucky is chosen to cover the surfing championships on a 6 month abroad assignment including exotic locals such as Bali and South Africa! The catch is, Lucky doesn't surf, she's more a fashion/lifestyles journalist, so Lucky has been chosen to give readers a glimpse at the sport through a novice's eye. The sponsor of the trip is Allie's Aussie brother, Ollie, who owns Surf Arsen, a major surfing enterprise! Lucky pegs Ollie right away...he's cocky and charismatic, insulting and infuriating, oh and extremely attractive...looks like a jerk, so Lucky vows to stay as far from Ollie as possible because she is done with jerks. But the more she gets to know him, the less Ollie seems like any of those things.
This is told by Lucky through a podcast style format and I LOVED it. It's a fresh take on storytelling that really worked for this story. I loved both the characters and I loved the self reflection Lucky does throughout...now we just have to see if she can apply what she's learned to this situation with Ollie! Definitely recommend, can't wait for Ollie's POV in the next book! - Wow!

I am diving into the continuation of their story with enthusiasm and excitement to see how Ollie sees things through his eyes. - I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book and I like that it surprised me. I really liked Lucky when I met her and my feelings for her never changed. Phew! But I must disagree with her- I didn’t think Ollie was a jerk. But I could see how from her point of view that he came across this way especially with her dating history.
I liked Lucky’s friendship with Jordy. It gave Lucky someone to relax and hang out with when she was away from home covering a surfing tour for her job as a journalist. And it gave her someone to distract her from Ollie when she was trying to figure out how she felt about him.
Of course a misunderstanding happens and Lucky heads back home earlier than planned so she can get some distance between her and Ollie. Things come to a head when she meets her best friend and coworker for dinner...and Ollie’s sister, and Ollie is joining them for dinner. Yelling ensues and they both say things in the heat of the moment, with a little truth thrown in, and Lucky runs out. The End.... literally! Thank god we don’t have to wait long for the rest. Only one week and then we get Ollie’s side of their relationship. I can’t wait and I am so excited to find out more about these two! - Oh Max Monroe, you did it once again! The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks was their usual hilarious romcom but they wrote it in such a unique way, at least for me anyway. Lucky, who is unlucky in love, has decided to detox from dating jerks and she chronicles this in a podcast and each chapter is a new episode. Featured prominently in this podcast is Oliver Arsen. He's the CEO of a surfboard company and former surf champ. He's also her besties brother. They meet when Lucky, a journalist, is going to cover the surfing championship. Oh btw, she knows nothing about surfing! Did I mention he's an Aussie? Yea he is and he's a jerk. Or is he? Read and find out, you won't be disappointed.
